Someone Shoveled the Grumpy Old Man's Snow Every Morning Frank was the grumpiest man on the street. He yelled at every kid who walked on his lawn. Then one winter morning, his driveway was already clear. Some prank, he muttered. But it happened again. And again. Every snowy morning, before six, the path to his door was clean. One night he stayed up to catch the culprit. At five a.m., he saw a red jacket. It was Danny. The boy he had yelled at all summer. Why? Frank asked. Danny shrugged. My grandpa had a bad back too. Nobody helped him. Frank made him hot chocolate. Then he did it every morning after that. For three winters, the boy shoveled, and the old man told stories about the war and his late wife. When Frank passed away, a lawyer called Danny's house. Frank had left him a letter. And enough money to pay for college. Every kind thing you do echoes. Comment SNOW.
