1Who we are

HNK Stories (stories.hnkiot.com) is run by HNK IoT Solutions (Pty) Ltd, Cape Town, South Africa ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2Using the site

The stories are free for personal, family, classroom and community viewing. You may share links to any page.

Please do not download, re-upload, edit, sell or present our videos, artwork or text as your own, and do not try to disrupt the site, its accounts or its comments (for example with bots, spam or attacks).

3Our content

The stories, scripts, artwork, videos and site design belong to HNK IoT Solutions (Pty) Ltd unless stated otherwise. Our videos are written and edited by us and made with AI-assisted tools for pictures, animation and narration.

True stories are based on real events but are simplified and dramatized to fit about a minute. They are for entertainment and general interest, not a complete historical record. Tell us about any error and we will fix it.

4Accounts

You can create an account with an email and password or with Google. Sign-in is provided by Google Firebase. Keep your login details private and give a name that is not offensive or misleading. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

5Comments

Comments must be kind, lawful and on topic. They are limited to 600 characters, may not contain links and are limited per person per day. Do not post anyone's personal information.

You keep ownership of what you write, but you allow us to show it on the site. We may remove any comment without notice. Comments are the views of their authors, not ours.

6Privacy

We collect only what the site needs:

• Account: your name, email address and whether you want new-story emails.
• Comments: the text you post, your display name and the time.
• Contact form: the details you send, delivered to us by Formspree.

Videos play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) player; YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply when you press play. Sign-in uses Google Firebase.

We do not sell your data and we do not show third-party ads on this site. We use your email only for your account and, if you opt in, for new-story emails. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and your comments. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

7Links to other sites

The site links to YouTube, our social pages and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

8No warranty and liability

We work hard to keep the site running and accurate, but it is provided "as is" without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using or not being able to use the site.

9Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

10Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
