He Missed His Exam to Help a Stranger... Then He Saw Who It Was

He Missed His Exam to Help a Stranger He had ten minutes to reach the most important exam of his life. Then he saw the old man in the rain. His car had a flat tire. Everyone else just drove past. Ethan looked at his watch. Then he put his bag down and knelt in the rain. By the time he finished, he was twenty minutes late. The doors were already closed. He had failed. One year of studying, gone, for a stranger he would never see again. A week later, he was called in for a final interview, his last chance to stay in the program. Behind the desk sat the head of the faculty. The old man from the rain. I can teach anyone engineering, he said. I can't teach someone to stop for a stranger. Ethan didn't just stay in the program. He got a full scholarship. All because, one rainy morning... he had ten minutes to reach the most important exam of his life.
