The Bus Driver Waited for Her Every Morning... 15 Years Later

The Bus Driver Waited for Her Every Morning Every morning, the bus driver waited two extra minutes. For one girl who was always late. The passengers hated it. Drive, they shouted. She'll learn. But Frank always waited. And Amina always made it, breathless, whispering thank you. Then one morning, she didn't come. Or the next. Or the next. On his day off, Frank found her address. Her mother was sick, and Amina was caring for her alone. That's why she was late every day. She'd been up all night. The next week, Frank told the passengers. And the same people who shouted started helping. Fifteen years later, an old man was rushed into the emergency room. The doctor took his hand and smiled. Don't worry, Frank. This time, I'll wait for you. Because every morning, the bus driver waited two extra minutes. For one girl who was always late.
