The Bus Was Still Moving... and the Driver Couldn't Stop It A school bus with eighteen kids was rolling down the street. And nobody was driving it. This really happened, in St. Paul, Minnesota, on October nineteenth. Ebro Ahmed, twenty-seven, was standing outside a convenience store. He noticed something strange. A bus was passing with its door wide open. He looked inside. The driver was having what looked like a seizure. He dropped everything and ran. The bus was still moving when he jumped on. He had no medical training. He put the bus in neutral and pulled the parking brake. Then he called 911. All eighteen kids were safe. The driver was expected to be okay too. He said watching Grey's Anatomy helped him stay calm. People everywhere called him a hero. One stranger looked up at the right moment. Because a school bus with eighteen kids was rolling down the street.
