Lazy Kid vs Perfect Student: The Science Fair Disaster Two kids. One science fair. And only one of them has a plan. This is Zara. She wakes up at six a.m., makes her bed, and has her whole week colour-coded. Purple means science. ZARA: Science fair in five days. Volcano, on schedule. Poster, laminated. Confidence, one hundred percent! And this is Milo. He wakes up at eleven. On a Saturday. Okay... on a Tuesday. MILO: Science fair? That's not till Friday. Future Milo can handle it. Day one. Zara tests her volcano formula twelve times. Milo tests how many chips he can fit in his mouth. The answer is nine. Day three. Zara's poster has charts, graphs, and glitter. Milo's poster has... a drawing of a cat. MILO: It's a science cat. It's very smart. But at night, when everyone was asleep, Milo's bedroom light stayed on. Nobody knew what he was building in there. Not even his mom. Friday. The gym was packed. Parents, teachers, and the big judge, Ms. Rivera, with her clipboard of doom. ZARA: Okay, Zara. You practised this. Just breathe. She poured in the vinegar. And the volcano went... pfft. A tiny, sad bubble. Then nothing. Kids giggled. Zara's face turned red. She checked her notes. Her perfect formula... she'd used salt instead of baking soda. ZARA: Five days of work... and I ruined it. Then everyone heard a loud CLANK from the next table. MILO: Uh... everybody, meet Bolt. He's made from a toaster, three soup cans, and my grandma's old lamp. Bolt beeped, waved, and rolled forward. Then he rolled straight off the table. Sparks. Smoke. Bolt's arm fell off. Milo had never tested him. Not even once. Two kids. Two disasters. Sitting on the gym floor. MILO: You know, your volcano was actually really cool. You just picked the wrong white powder. ZARA: And your robot is genius. You just... never checked if it works. Then Zara had an idea. She opened her planner to a fresh page. ZARA: Ten minutes before judging. You fix Bolt's wires. I'll fix the formula. Deal? MILO: Deal! Zara's checklist. Milo's crazy ideas. Together they rebuilt Bolt, and gave him one brand new job. When Ms. Rivera arrived, Bolt rolled up to the volcano, poured in the real baking soda... and BOOM! Foam everywhere! The whole gym cheered. Ms. Rivera even laughed. And first place went to... team Zara and Milo! Zara learned that a plan is great, but sometimes you have to get messy. And Milo learned that a great idea still needs a plan. So, which one are you?
